What does WMM mean?
Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) or Wireless Multimedia Extensions (WME), is a standard created to define the Quality of service (QoS) in Wi-Fi networks. It is based on the IEEE 802.11e QoS standard.
WMM let the Wi-Fi router prioritize different types of traffic. It maintains the priority of audio, video, and voice, over other applications which are less time-critical.
