What does WPM mean?
Words Per Minute (WPM or wpm) is a measure of the number of words processed per minute and is most widely used to measure and show the speed of typing or reading.
For the purposes of WPM measurement, a word is standardized to five characters or keystrokes long. An average typist types usually at speeds of 40 to 50 WPM, which translates into between 200 and 250 Characters Per Minute (CPM).
