What does VFS mean?

Valley Fault System (VFS) is an active right-lateral strike-slip fault system in the Philippines.

A strike-slip fault is a fracture in the Earth's crust where the rock masses slide parallel to the strike of the fault. Strike-slip faults are further described as "right-lateral" (dextral) or "left-lateral" (sinistral) depending on if the block opposite the viewer moved to the right or left respectively.
