What does TN mean?
Twisted Nematic (TN) is a type of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology.
In a TN display panel, the liquid crystal molecules are aligned in a twisted pattern between two polarizing filters. Without voltage, the twisted molecules block light at the second filter. When voltage is applied, the molecules untwist, enabling light to pass through. This on/off control creates an image on the monitor.
Note:
Liquid Crystal (LC) is a special type of material that exhibits properties of both liquids and solids. They possess characteristics of fluidity, allowing them to flow and change shape like liquids. However, they also possess an ordered arrangement of molecules, similar to solids.
