What does SPA mean?
Simple Power Analysis (SPA) is a method of side-channel attack that examines the variations in power consumption of a device over a period of time. Since different operations will exhibit different power profiles, one can determine what type of function is being performed at a given time. An attacker uses this information to determine (parts of) the secret key.
