What does PPM mean?
A pacemaker is a small, battery-powered device, which are usually implanted into the upper chest through a small incision that sends out electrical impulses to make the heart beat in a regular rhythm and at a normal speed. Pacemakers can be temporary or permanent. Permanent pacemakers are used to control long-term heart rhythm problems.
