PEPSU Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) is a state-owned bus company in Punjab state of India. It was formed on October 16th, 1965, under the Road Transport Corporations Act, 1950, in Patiala to provide economic transport facilities to the residents of Punjab.
PEPSU stands for Patiala and East Punjab States Union, was a state of India between 1948 and 1956. It was created by combining eight princely states: Patiala, Jind, Nabha, Kapurthala, Faridkot, Kalsia, Malerkotla, and Nalagarh.
