What does NKRO mean?

N-key Rollover (NKRO) refers to the ability of a keyboard to correctly identify and register all the keys that be pressed simultaneously.
NKRO is a feature, mostly found on expensive gaming keyboards that enables to press multiple keys at the same time without encountering issues such as ghosting. This means that each key is scanned completely independently by the keyboard hardware so that each keypress is correctly detected regardless of how many other keys are being pressed or held down at the same time.
The “N” refers to the mathematical symbol used to define “natural numbers”, which are positive integers from 1 to infinity.
