What does ISG mean?
In-Situ Gasification (ISG) is a chemical process that converts organic matter in-situ into a product gas called Synthetic gas or Syngas. It is an enhanced recovery method to produce hydrocarbons involving the injection of an oxidant into the formation and the production of a hydrocarbon.
Note:
In-situ means “in place” and refers to recovery techniques at the location of the energy source.
