What does IDF mean?
Integrated Dual Feed (IDF) is a sewing machine feature that helps to feed the fabric evenly from both the top and the bottom.
IDF systems typically work by using two sets of feed dogs. One set of feed dogs is located on the underside of the presser foot, and the other set is located on top of the feed plate. When IDF is engaged, the two sets of feed dogs work together to feed the fabric evenly from both the top and the bottom.
