Xbox Xbox is a series of home video game consoles manufactured by Microsoft. When Microsoft moved into the development of game consoles, some developers of the Microsoft’s DirectX team built a game console prototype based on Microsoft’s DirectX technology and called it the DirectX box, later the name was shortened to Xbox.
