What does VT mean?
Vanishing Twin (VT), also known as twin absorption syndrome, is a phenomenon in which a woman initially conceives multiple embryos, but during the early stages of pregnancy, one or more of the embryos fail to develop and are absorbed by the surviving twin (s) or are expelled from the uterus.
VT typically happens early in the first trimester, often before the mother is even aware she is pregnant.
