What does UHT mean?
Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) processing is a heat treatment process used for liquid products to sterilize the food before packing. UHT involves heating the liquid to 138°to 150° C (280° to 302° F) for one or two seconds. One of the main advantages of UHT products is that they can be stored and transported without cooling.
