What does UKG mean?
Upper Kindergarten (UKG) is a nursery school or playschool for the 4 to 5 years old children. It acts like a preschool education for children. Kindergarten (KG) is a German word that literally means “garden for children” or “children‘s garden.” The term was coined by the German educator Friedrich Fröbel, for the "play and activity" institute that he created in 1837 in Bad Blankenburg, Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, Germany, as a social experience for children for their transition from home to school.
