What does SIDCs mean?

State Industrial Development Corporations (SIDCs) were autonomous corporations, established under the Companies Act. All the state governments have to establish State Industrial Development Corporations in their respective states. SIDCs act as nodal agencies of state governments for industrial growth and development of infrastructure facilities and catalysts the promotion and development of medium and large enterprises in their respective sates/union territories.
