Prime Minister’s Welfare Plan for the Poor (Hindi: प्रधान मंत्री गरीब कल्याण योजना, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, PMGKY) is a welfare programme for the poor by the Prime Minister of India. PMKGY is also the name for an income declaration scheme with a black money declaration option which give the black money holders a chance to pay taxes with penalties and declare undisclosed income and get exempted from further tax penalties or imprisonment. The money collected through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme (PMGKDS) will be utilised for the welfare of the poor people.
