What does PM mean?

Pilot Monitoring (PM) refers to the pilot who assists the Pilot Flying (PF) during a specific phase of flight.
In a two-pilot crew, the PF is usually the captain or the more experienced pilot, while PM assists the PF and handles other duties, such as communicating with air traffic control and monitoring the aircraft systems. In a single-pilot operation, the pilot is both the PF and the PM. The roles of the PF and PM may be switched during a flight, depending on the situation and the needs of the crew.
