What does PIL mean?
Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is a feature in, India’s judicial system that allows any member of the public to initiate litigation by merely addressing a letter to a judge. A PIL can be filed in the courts for any matters of public interest ranging from polluted environments to road safety or constructional hazards.
