What does IARC mean?
International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is an intergovernmental agency forming part of the World Health Organization (WHO) of the United Nations. IARC carries out epidemiological studies on the incidence of cancer. It also manages research projects focusing on the causes of cancer in humans and the mechanisms of cancer development. The IARC coordinates projects worldwide and develops strategies for cancer control.
