What does DHCP mean?
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network protocol that automatically assign an Internet Protocol (IP) address and other related configuration information such as the default gateway and subnet mask to a network device with in the network. DHCP is used to dynamically configure network devices that are attached to a network.
