Compatibility Support Module (CSM) is a component of the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) based firmware that provides legacy BIOS compatibility by emulating a BIOS environment, allowing legacy Operating Systems (OS) and operate with legacy option ROMs that do not support UEFI.
