What does BPA mean?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is an organic synthetic compound. BPA is used primarily to make certain plastics and resins like polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used to make water bottles and food containers. BPA is synthesized by the condensation of Acetone (hence the suffix A in the name) with two phenols.
