What does Agmark mean?

Agricultural Marketing (Agmark) is a certification mark employed on agricultural products in India, assuring that they conform to a set of standards approved by the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI), an agency of the Government of India.

According to some sources, the term Agmark is a combination of two words “Agriculture” and “Mark” (short for certification mark).
