Ampere (SI unit symbol: A), often shortened to amp, is the unit of electric current. Ampere unit is named after Andre-Marie Ampere, was a French mathematician and physicist, considered the father of electrodynamics. Ampere is the flow of electrons per unit time. When 1 Coulomb charge flow through a wire in 1 second then the current through the wire is 1 Ampere.
