What does AAA mean?
Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA, pronounced: triple-A) is the process of identifying a user, determining the permissions granted to that user, and keeping a record of that user’s activity.
Authentication is the process of checking that the identity that is being claimed is actually true.
Authorization is the process of giving access to services.
Accounting is keeping track of the things user did.
