What does mRNA mean?

Messenger RNA (mRNA) or Messenger Ribonucleic Acid, is a copy of a specific segment of a gene that contains the instructions for synthesizing a particular protein.
mRNA acts as a template for protein synthesis. It carries the genetic information from the Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) in the cell's nucleus to the ribosomes in the cytoplasm, where proteins are synthesized according to the instructions encoded in the mRNA molecule.

Note:
Protein synthesis is the process by which your cells create proteins.
