What does e mean?

Coefficient Of Restitution (COR), denoted by e, is a dimensionless number that describes the elasticity of a collision between two objects. It is defined as the ratio of the relative velocity of separation to the relative velocity of the approach of the two objects immediately after the collision.
The e can have a value between 0 and 1.
A value of 1 means that the collision is perfectly elastic, and no energy is lost in the collision.
A value of 0 means that the collision is perfectly inelastic.
