Yamaha Corporation is a multinational corporation headquartered in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. Yamaha was established in 1887 as a piano and reed organ manufacturing company. It was founded by Torakusu Yamaha as Nippon Gakki Company Limited, literally Japan musical instrument company limited. Later, the official name of the company was changed to Yamaha Corporation.
