What does TTN mean?

Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN) is a respiratory condition that affects newborn babies, typically occurring shortly after birth.
TTN is characterized by rapid breathing (tachypnea). It occurs due to the slow absorption of fetal lung fluid after birth.
In most cases, TTN resolves within a few days as the excess fluid is gradually reabsorbed by the body. However, in some cases, supportive care such as oxygen therapy may be necessary to help the baby breathe more comfortably until the condition resolves completely.
