What does SAR mean?
Segmentation and Reassembly (SAR) is the process of breaking arbitrary size packet into smaller pieces before transmission and reassembling them into the proper order at the receiving end of the communication. This may be necessary because of restrictions in the communications channel or to reduce latency.
