What does RCS mean?
Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a communication protocol between both mobile operators and phones. It is designed as a replacement for Short Message Service (SMS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) in mobile phone messaging.
RCS allows users to send images and videos and have support for end-to-end encryption without the 160-character limit as with regular SMS. It makes it fast and easy to send more information in a message and enables support for richer text features, higher-resolution images, videos, and so on.
