What does PCR mean?
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a technology that allows researchers to amplify small segments of genetic material. PCR is widely used for carrying out molecular-based diagnostic tests.

PCR test detects the genetic material that is specific to the virus using a technique called Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and can detect the virus within days of infection, even those who have no symptoms.
