Operation Order or Operations Order (OPORD) is a directive issued by the leader to his subordinate leaders in order to effect the coordinated execution of a specific operation. The purpose of an OPORD is to provide clear, concise information and instructions to subordinates so that they may accomplish the mission within the framework of the commander intent.
