Geojit or Geojit Financial Services, is an investment services company headquartered in Kochi, Kerala, India.
Geojit was founded by Chenayappillil John George with his partner Ranajit Kanjilal in 1987. The name Geojith is a combination of the names of both partners, "Geo" from George and "Jit" from Ranajit.
In 1991, Mr. Ranajit Kanjilal retired from the firm by selling his shares to Mr. George.
