What does EVM mean?
Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is an electronic device for recording votes. EVM consists of two Units, a Control Unit, and a Balloting Unit joined by a cable.
The Balloting Unit is put within the voting compartment, while the Control Unit is held with the Presiding Officer or a Polling Officer. The Polling Officer in charge of the Control Unit will release a ballot by pressing the Ballot Button on the Control Unit. By pressing the Ballot Button on the Control Unit, the Polling Officer in charge of the Control Unit will release a ballot. This will allow the voter to vote for the candidate and symbol of his preference by pressing the blue button on the Balloting Device.
