What does DSLR mean?

Digital SLR (DSLR) or Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera, is a type of professional digital cameras which use a system of mirrors to reflect light through the camera lens, up to the optical viewfinder, and then onto the camera’s photographic sensor which allows the photographer to see exactly what the final picture will look like so that the photographer can accurately focus and compose the shot. DSLR is just a hybrid version of the mechanical SLR in which it uses digital memory cards and light sensor chips instead of film. DSLRs have larger sensors compared to most digital cameras which allow higher picture quality. DSLR also allows the user to choose from a variety of interchangeable lenses.
