What does DND mean?
Do Not Disturb (DND) is a free service that, once activated will prevent unwanted telemarketing calls and promotional Short Message Service (SMS). National Customer Preference Register (NCPR), also known as the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry is a national database containing a list of the mobile numbers of all the subscribers who have registered for a DND service in India. As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines, if your mobile number is on the DND list, then you will not receive any unwanted telemarketing calls and SMS.
To enroll in the National DND registry in India, do one of the following:
Send an SMS with the message START 0 to 1909
OR Call 1909 and follow the instructions.
