What does DLW mean?
Doubly Labeled Water (DLW) is water in which both the hydrogen and the oxygen have been partly or completely replaced for tracing purposes with an uncommon isotope of these elements. DLW is a valid and reliable method for measuring total energy expenditure, which is equivalent to energy intake in weight-stable people.
