What does DBTL mean?
Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG (DBTL, Hindi: प्रत्यक्ष हस्तांतरित लाभ, Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh, PaHaL) is a scheme aimed to improve the subsidy administration of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) across India. As per this scheme, an LPG consumer will buy the cooking gas at full market price. The differential between the full market price and subsidized price, i.e. the subsidy will be transferred to his/her bank account.
