What does ChAT mean?
Choline AcetylTransferase (ChAT) is an enzyme produced in the brain responsible for the synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine by combining choline and acetate. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that controls functions such as memory, sleep, heart rate, and muscular activity.
