Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) is a technology for constructing low power integrated circuits. CMOS combines both n-channel and p-channel Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors (MOSFET) to provide very low power consumption along with high speed. CMOS technology is used in microprocessors, microcontrollers, static RAM, and other digital logic circuits.
