What does CAN mean?
Controller Area Network (CAN) is a bus standard designed to allow micro controllers and devices in an automobile like engine management systems, active suspension, ABS, gear control, lighting control, air conditioning, airbags, central locking to communicate with each other. CAN was originally designed for the automotive industry, but has also become a popular bus in industrial automation as well as other applications.
