What does CAC mean?
Charge Air Cooler (CAC) is a heat exchanger used to cool charge air of an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) after it has been compressed by a turbocharger.
CAC is used for cooling engine intake of air before it enters the combustion chambers of the engine. The main function of CAC is to reduce the temperature of compressed air from the turbocharger before it enters the intake manifold and can increase the power and fuel economy of the engine.
