Advanced File System (AdvFS) or Tru64 Advanced File System, is a UNIX file system originally developed by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and is now a part of HP’s Tru64 operating system. Hewlett-Packard (HP) obtain AdvFS when it acquired Compaq, which had acquired DEC in 1998.
