What does AMT mean?
Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) or clutch-less manual transmission, is an automobile transmission technology that combines manual transmission and automatic transmission. AMT composed of an electronically controlled clutch unit, gearbox and a control unit that uses electronic sensors and actuators to actuate gear shifts thus allowing the driver to change gear without using the clutch, either sequentially or fully automatically.
