A milliampere hour (mAh) is 1000th of an ampere hour (Ah). It’s a measurement of the amount of energy the battery can store. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery can power a device that comsumes more power and/or for a longer amount of time. For example, a battery rated at 1000 mAh can power a device drawing 1000 mA for 1 hour or 500 mA for 2 hours or 100 mA for 10 hours.
