What does DBTL mean?
Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG (DBTL) or प्रत्यक्ष हस्तांतरित लाभ (Hindi: Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh, PaHaL), by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is the scheme aimed to improve the subsidy administration of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) across India. As per this scheme an LPG consumer will buy the cooking gas at full market price and the differential between subsidized price and full market price, i.e. the subsidy will be transferred to his/her bank account.
